This Privacy Policy describes how Kairi ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Kairi mobile app and this website. We wrote it in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, you can reach us through the Support page.

Information we collect

Account information, such as an email address, if you create an account.
Onboarding & health profile information you provide directly, such as date of birth, gender, smoking status, height and weight, the health focus you select (blood pressure, cholesterol, and/or blood sugar), current medications, and baseline or target values for blood pressure and cholesterol.
Vitals you log, such as blood pressure, cholesterol (LDL/HDL/triglycerides), blood glucose, and HbA1c readings, and any notes you attach to them.
Meal, menu, and product data from scans, photos, and searches you perform in the app, used to generate fit scores and Smart Swap suggestions.
Medication reminder settings, if you choose to enable them, used only to schedule local notifications.
Usage information, such as features you interact with, used to improve recommendations and app performance.
Device information, such as device type and operating system, used for compatibility and troubleshooting.

Health information you enter into Kairi is treated as sensitive data. We collect only what you choose to provide, and features like vitals tracking and medication reminders are optional.

How we use information

We use the information above to operate and improve Kairi, calculate personalized fit scores and Smart Swaps, generate your Specialist PDF export when you request one, respond to support requests, and maintain the security of the app. We do not sell personal information, including health information, to third parties.

How we share information

We may share information with service providers who help us operate the app (such as cloud hosting), and where required by law. Any paid subscription billing is handled through the Apple App Store or Google Play, subject to their respective privacy practices.

Your choices

You can review, update, or delete your account information from within the app, or by contacting Support. You can also uninstall the app at any time to stop further data collection on your device.

Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app's features, and we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information protected.

Children's privacy

Kairi is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and significant changes will be communicated within the app where appropriate.
